Angry Parking assist & sensors not working

Hello all! I've searched but come up empty....

While I was away for 3 1/2 months, and my gf having responsibility of the LS, I was naturally delighted to drive it. After driving the Ford Escape rental, the LS was like a brand new, off the showroom floor, car.

Aside from the rims having brake dust on them, I found something else wrong.

My parking sensors & assist doesn't work! I just realized this today. Neither the front nor the rear sensors work! I don't get any audible nor visual alarms! Neither the front nor the rear sensors do anything. No alarms, no nothing!

I checked the proximity settings, made sure the alarm volume was loud enough, etc, via the nav menu screens, but I can't seem to figure out why I don't get an alarm when I'm close to an object...and it's driving me nuts!

Is there any switch under the dash, etc? Could this be an indication that my battery needs replacing soon? (i know when the battery needs replacing, the LS will do a lot of weird things w/the electronics). Could this be a blown fuse, etc?

While I continue to try to figure this out, all suggestions and ideas welcomed!

Can you tell I'm panicking? lol. Thanks guys.

There's a button/switch to turn parking assist on/off right under the mirror adjustment switch.

I've mentioned before that I regularly hit the button to disable the parking sensor when I open the coin drawer.

Thanks! As silly as it sounds, I couldn't find it in the owners manual index under "park*"
Quicker to come to this forum!

I wonder if LS430inDE traded his girlfriend in for an upgraded model? One that didn't mess with his Lexus?

LOL! Na. I still have both of them. One complains a little more than the other, and one is more accommodating when lifting the hood and going down to get some work done, but I'm still here....

......although I wouldn't investigate an opportunity to upgrade, on either.
