Default Chrome trim on rear bumper.

The little strip of chrome trim on my rear bumper is starting to peel for some unknown reason. Maybe to much washing i guess. I want to know do i have to remove the rear bumper cover to replace that part or can it be replaced without doing so? I believed ive found the part @ trademotion.com. They want $60+ bucks for it if its the right part. Any thoughts guys? I wanna get this done before the summer really hits. Thanks in advance.

BTW! My car is an 05 LS430 with parking sensors.

My body shop replaced both the front and rear chrome trim strips when they refinished the bumpers. The price for the rear strip was listed at $85. I believe they mentioned it is just glued on and they assumed it would be ruined when it was removed to refinish the bumper.

On ok thanks. Depending on how the new one looks compared to the old ones, i may consider replacing all of them if they match up. Hope it does match tho! Do yo know if the adhesive used to adhear it comes with the part or if thats something ill have to get on my own? I know you're no body shop mech but just thought i'd ask.

If it was me, I'd buy the part and take it to my local body shop to install. When I was a kid, I couldn't even put a decal on a model without it being crooked with bubbles under it.

the actual part number is 52751-50040 and if you can get lex wholesale prices then it will be $87.66 but when i tried to purchase it from my local lex shop they wanted to charge me like $125 or 135$ or something like this.

i just replaced the front and back on my car, haven't seen it yet cuz its still at the shop but dude said he got em both for $100 a piece from lex. i also had a new rear bumper painted and installed in the process and front bumper sanded and resprayed too. $700 for all not including the price of the oem rear bumper, which i had sent to my door for like $270.
