Very excited to be here.

I am a new member to the forum and I look forward to check out and learn as I go along what this amazing forum has to offer (as I have heard only good things from my friends). My name is Steve and I am from Austin, TX and I am a proud owner of an 06 Lexus LS430/Moonlight Pearl. Haven't had a chance to do any mods as of yet, which there will be plenty as time progress. As I have many plans for this bad boy! Lol. One of the first things, I would like to do is change out my foglights and was thinking to just keep my low beams stock and change the fogs to 3k. I also had a few other alternatives- 6k top and bottom or 6k top and 3k bottom or just stick with the original plan? I know at the end of the day it all boils down to preference, but wanted to know your thoughts and opinion. Look forward to hearing from you guys.

I personally would just do 4300k (stock) for the fogs. Keeps lighting at its best.

 

Yeah, I was even leaning towards that route. Thanks for that! Keep 'em coming guys! Just need a few more takes on whether the stock low beams and 3k for the fogs would go right and would look good on the LS430? I personally love the original JDM Lexus look. Had it on my 2GS and love em eversince!! Basically what I'm saying is- would it look good and should I go with that color combo?

 

Welcome to CL, i had 4300k in my fogs before and it doesn't match prefectly. So if you want a good match with your lowbeams get 5000k. Right now I'm running 3000k on my fogs and I loves them. Here in florida we get fogs and rains alot so its working great for me.

welcome to CL... just bought mine a month ago... i am planning on 3000K for my fog and 6k or 8k low beam... but actually looking to see if anyone can help put it in.... wanna buy from HIDxtra but have to figure out install... not good c electricals....

I put 2500K stage 1 yellow fogs from nokia, with stock low beams. Good lick on your decision. Sorry for pic quality from my blackberry. - hope pic downloaded if not ill try again later.

I Will be swapping out my yellow fogs (bulb) with 3000K HID's soon as I get some free time. Here is some pics of what they look like now.
