Smile New Members Intro/Shoutout Thread

Hey Everyone - JUst wanted to say hello. I'm not yet a LS owner as I'm currently actively looking for an 05 or 06 in the MA area.

I did a search and couldn't find any thread for new LS 430 member signup/intro. So i thought i would create one.

Thanks, i'm currently looking for something with low miles 30k - 40k, no accidents, silver or black and nav

i found 3 so far with the clean car fax with nav. all from big car dealerships

2005 silver/ash leather with 28k miles asking price $29K but i've negotiated to $26,500

2006 silver/black leather with 30k miles asking price $30k but i've negotiated to $28,500

2006 blue/tan leather with 40k miles asking price $30k but i think they'll sell in for $28k-$29k but i haven't gotten back to them as the color is not what i want. good thing about this one is it's certified

Welcome - wow if I lived up north I'd love to have a silver paint with black leather LS430 - that's a beautiful and very old school classy combo.

Welcome aboard. Those sound like good prices depending on what trims you are refering to ...ML etc ?

thanks, in looking at the pics of the LS they all seem to have headlamp washer covers visible in the bumper. So they're all Custom Luxury trims

Since you have a choice of an 05 or 06 around the same mileage and trim level it might make be wise to go for the 05 and use the money you saved to get an extended warranty... for peace of mind. Just a thought.

Thanks for the thought

The 05 is definitely a good deal for 27,107 miles. They told me the car has all 4 dunlop tires (never been replaced & has +3mm tread left) and the battery has not been replaced.

I'm thinking I would have to replace the tires around 36,000 miles.

Looks like it's down to 3 LS 430. All silver, low miles, clean carfax, nav, non lexus dealership and custom luxury package (except 03)

what seems to be the better deal? I'm leaning towards the 06 right now

2003 has 29K miles asking $22,877 but i think i can get it down to $18K-$19K

KBB Trade-In Value = $16,275 (good) ; $17,175 (excellent)
KBB Private Value = $18,675 (good); $19,725 (excellent)
KBB Retail Value = $22,575

2005 has 28k miles asking price $29K but i've negotiated to $26,300 (they wanted $26,800 but then came back with $26,500)
KBB Trade-In Value = $22,200 (good) ; $23,350 (excellent)
KBB Private Value = $24,725 (good); $26,025 (excellent)
KBB Retail Value = $29,125

2006 has 30k miles asking price $30k but i've negotiated to $27,900 (they wanted $28,500)
KBB Trade-In Value = $26,450 (good) ; $27,850 (excellent)
KBB Private Value = $29,050 (good); $30,550 (excellent)
KBB Retail Value = $33,750

Before you buy check the vin of each car at the following website.

https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lex...-lexus/home.do

It will ask you if you are the owner of each car just say yes and look at the maintenance records. After you are done looking at each record remove the car from your inventory.

DO NOT TRUST CARFAX! My car was in an accident before I bought it and found out on this site afterwards.

Good luck

Tom
