Default Lexus LS430: new mods

I was driving westbound on 43rd street towards Crosstimbers and I-45. To the left of me was an 18 wheeler. We were coming up to Watonga St. and out of nowhere a late 90's Mercury Grand Marquis came towards me. He was trying to make a left turn and beat the 18 wheeler across the light and didn't see me on the right side of the 18 wheeler. It happened so fast that when I saw him that is when we hit. I didn't have time to even take my foot of the gas pedal. After impact I got myself out the car and my brother helped carry me towards his car. My brother later told me that the impact was so hard that my rear end came off the ground completely. The older man in the Mercury Grand Marquis that was at fault shattered one of his legs and his femur bone was sticking out. He was less fortunate than I was. Right now I'm recovering after being released from the hospital.

Pics of my car about a month ago taken with my iPhone:

Pics of my car after the accident taken by my brother while I was on the way to the hospital in the ambulance. (Ikon_Mark in the pic)

you can see the older man that was at fault on the stretcher.

O boy!!! Shows you how safe these things are. If i looked at the car without knowing what happened to the driver..........I would think he didnt make it. ..........And look at that front bumper, you can still use it on your next LS......haha....................Glad youre ok !!

Wow, glad you're OK. Is the car considered totaled now?

Thanks guys, this is the reason why I picked the LS. Having a family I wanted something safe and something that I can mod. So it was a no-brainer.

ikon danny - so sorry you lost your car - that has got to be painful. But like others said, glad you are OK and not permanently hurt. I had a good friend in a wheelchair almost all his adult life - I remember him saying "a real problem can't be fixed with money".

All stuff, even great stuff, can always be replaced.

It was a fine looking ride tho...

That's a serious crash.
That was a nice car but it can be replaced, people can't.
Glad you came out OK and hope you feel better soon.

Glad to hear that you're okay! It sucks that the car was wrecked, but on the bright side should be able to find a replacement without much problem -- there are still plenty of good ones out there. Good luck with everything!
