I've been reading the owners and nav manuals online while waiting for my car to arrive. What possessed Lexus to use Detroit in most of their examples in the nav manual? All I can think of is that they used Polk or one of the other Detroit-area companies to publish the manual.

Many of their examples (maybe it's in the '09-'10 product literature) are in Los Angeles.

 

I think it's because most drivers in those cities (Detroit/LA) WANT THE FASTEST AND QUICKEST ROUTES OUT! lolol!!

Unfortunately, you better have your final destination programmed before you move, because you won't be able to key in while moving and you sure don't want to stop anywhere to key in the address.
