Default Floormats

On my 2001 LS430 UL, i had some very "plush" floormats that matched my ECRU interior. I decided to buy some OEM replacements, however the new Lexus mats were not as plush.

Define plush... more ****-like and thick. The replacement Lexus OEM mats i bought from a Lexus dealer did have a dense pile, with the Lexus logo and all, but didn't look like the original equipment that came with the vehicle.

Question, does the Ultra Luxury model have a specific floor mat part number and did this special part continue in the 2004-2006 MYs?

Just got mine replaced at the dealer. Apparently the only color still available from Lexus are black. (At least that's what they told me)

Make sure you get the safer ones you can pin to the floor.
Look under your old mat, the part number is there.

My old ones have PT548-50030 (last two digits is for the color)

I found those for you:
PT208-50010-XX

I just got new cashmere mats for my '05 ecru ultra. P/N is PT548-50040-10. They are the normal dense pile carpeted mats.

Dealer ordered them when certifying the vehicle for sale. Sewell lexus lists them at $138, lexuspartsonline.com lists them for $110.40:

thanks for the post... these look like the Lexus replacements i bought also. The mats that came with my 2001 UL has a longer carpet. I'll see if the new owner still has both sets i gave him when i sold it...

Not sure if this is what you are refering to but I think Lexus came up with a shorter "safer" design for all models with lower risk of going under the pedals.

The mats for the 2010 LX570 are pretty plush, like house carpet. Take a look at the photo at the end of the 2010 LX catalog next time you're at the dealer.

I bought a set of Lexus cashmere mats last night 110 plus 11 shipping. Wanted to get a set of OEMs before they are no longer avail. I will put them away for a few years. Mats are very tough to keep looking new - at some point you have to replace them.

My wife bought a set of aftermarket mats for our LS430 Ultra from one of our CL vendors as a gift for me last year. I haven't put them in the car yet as we've just stopping driving it to the track where we drag all sorts of sand and pea gravel into it recently (bought a truck). Didn't want to trash them right away

They are VERY thick pile but have a metal surround around a heel pad which I'm not sure if I like yet or not. I tend to wear a heel spot on my car carpets so from that perspective it's good, but for long drives I often pull off the shoes and drive sock-footed and not sure if the metal will be annoying or useful. The metal nameplate tab was sewn on and I pulled that off of mine.

Not sure if they have stock - took some time for them to arrive. Price on the link below has them at $310, so if you want that extra thick pile you see in that picture it certainly costs some extra $$.

Not cheap, but they are definitely super-thick.

Mainly more luxurious feeling, just like upgrading the carpet and padding in your house. Doesn't add any horsepower or anything
