Default Download Phone Book - Program HomeLink

I am hoping someone can help me with these two problems

I have a Razr 2 phone with Verizon service - I cannot figure out how to download my phonebook into my Nav/bluetooth phone on a 05 LS 430 with the factory Custom Luxury Package

I also cannot program Homelink - my garage door is newer so it has the roaming code -

Thanks for any help that can be provided!

Mike

#1 - Can not help you with #1 as I could not get that to work either with my Samsung D500, but it works fine otherwise.

#2 - The two processes are the same for roaming or fixed signal, you turn the car to "on" position. The only difference is with fix code remotes, you hold the remote close to the homelink, then press the remote and press and hold the homelink button you want until it goes from blink slow to blink fast. For roaming remotes, you don't do this with the handheld remote, you actually need to press the 'training' or 'transmit' button on the base unit on the garage door, then you press and hold the homelink button until it blinks from slow to fast. For roaming, you CAN NOT use the handheld remote.

Hope this helps...

Go to Lexus site and search on model. You can link to information about phones that are compatible for different years. The Razr is NOT one of them, and there are precious few that are fully compatible...

Yes, I, too, tried and replaced phone with one on list. Worked beautifully with a compatible phone. Chocolate3 is one I can recommend. BB Curve works also...

Mike - I had the same problem transferring phonebook to my 04 CL. I asked the same question here. I was advised to buy an old Siemens S56 on Ebay (There's a couple on there now for $15-18). That's a cheap old Lexus-data-transfer-compatible phone. No need to activate it. You enter your phonebook into it manually and then transfer the info to your car from the S56. Then you throw the S56 in a drawer and use it only as a tool to transfer the phonebook info to the car again at a later date if someone changes their #, etc.

It worked great for me and I sill use it, when required, to edit phonebook info. That way you can keep using your existing cell.

Thank you - do you have a quick tip on the format to follow for one at a time?

Mike, I have the same phone and car which I programed a while ago. As soon as I remember how I did it I will past that info on to you. I'm going try it out shortly and get back to you.

Ok, first
On the Steering Wheel, Press the Off-Hook button
On the Navigation System,
1. Select “Settings”
2. Select “Phonebook”
3. Select “Transfer Data”
4. Select “Add” Your nav will say transfer from phone
5. Now stop

From your razor
1.Go to contacts
2.Highlight the name you want to send
3.hit options on your phone
4.Scroll down to send name card and hit ok
5.scroll down to blue tooth and hit ok
6.SEND comes up and you hit send
7.scroll down to hands free and hit ok (conecting to hands free comes up)
Your entry will now transfer from your phone to your car. I believe you can send more than 1 entry at a time if you try this: when you get to step #6 before you hit send hit the add button this will open up an option to add multiple entries or add all of them.

Let me know if this helps you.

I just went out and tried to send multi entries as well as my entire phone and it worked fine both ways. So good luck.
