Hi guys, I found 2003 LS430. The owner said that the car has Bluetooth and satellite radio. He said its from the manufacturing not something after market he installed or device he bought and installed.

Is that true and could be right?

For my information, the Bluetooth and satellite radio begin from 2004.

not sure about the satellite radio, but bluetooth def started in 2004 if you had nav.

Here in Aus the Lexus/Toyota updates come in October , so we have 2003 model LS430's with the 5 speed auto and the update October 2003 LS430 with the 6 speed auto , you might have something similar over there .
They might be known as a 2004 model but the plate reads 2003 !!

That's the same thing here in U.S. The next "model year" is sold in about Sept/Oct of the current calendar year. So, right now (2009) most new vehicles are 2010 vehicles. I don't think the OP and person selling were talking year bought though, but rather the actual model year.

I got my Integra in Dec. of 1991, but it's a 1992 so I don't say I have a 1991 Integra.

yeah any '03 will have nav maybe sat if its aftermarket, but bluetooth def not

Are there any after market applications for bluetooth & satellite that would integrate nicely with a 2001 LS430's factory nav unit?

There are a variety of sat radio interface solutions including what are probably the most popular ones from VAIS: http://www.vaistech.com/products/home.php

There are, however, no bluetooth solutions, at least in the U.S., that allow dialing a POI's phone number from the 01-03 nav. I've seen videos showing Bluetooth integrated with the older nav in Japanese spec LS cars on Japanese language Lexus enthusiast websites -- even into the LS400 nav -- but I've never seen anything for the 01-03 U.S. spec LS430.

The "neatest" aftermarket Bluetooth solution I've seen on an older 01-03 U.S. spec Lexus has been the installation of the Parrot MKi9100 on an 02 SC430: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...for-02-sc.html The same Parrot solution should work on an 01 LS430 and be particularly easy to do with the available interface harness.
