Post Weird Electrical Issues

My 2004 LS430 UL is experiencing some very odd electical problems that all started on the same day. It's like a ghost has taken over my car!

-When my mirrors automatically open at engine start, only the right mirror opens. But, if I press the mirror switch the "out" setting, the left mirror will finally deploy.

-When I start the car, it stops immediately and then if I wait a few seconds and try again, it starts right up.

-When I lock the doors using the door lock button, 3 of the 4 doors successfully lock. The drivers door won't lock completely until I put the car in gear.

-When I use the key fob to lock the doors, the car pauses and then locks the doors about 2 seconds later, then waits another few seconds and finally, the car will BEEP.

Any ideas?????

I would say, how is your car battery? Relatively new, or fairly old? Most of the electrical problems encountered her on forum seem to be battery related and many have been fixed by just changing the battery.

Thanks to everyone for the advice.

It ended up being both the battery and the terminal connector. The old battery had some oxidation on the terminal and boy did it eat through that terminal connector.

For anyone who ever has to go through this, realize you will NOT be able to just stop by pep boys or auto zone and get a connector for the positive terminal. I learned the hard way that it is a slightly abnormal connector and you must either use Lexus OEM or have some ingenuity to get it to work.
