LS 430 Front Plate
Recently purchased an out of State 2001 LS430 that had no front license plate mount. Since it is the law here in Texas I addressed this yesterday.
Took the car to Stewarts Body Shop in Dallas & they installed 2 nutserts in the bumper & mounted the plate. They even got out a small brush & touched up 2 nicks in the door for free! Nice place they had 5 Ferrari's in for repair today including a 246 Dino, a 365 Daytona & a 330 GT.

All States currently need revenue so I expect this trend to increase.
I got hassled the other night in a non-descript LS400 & decided I would rather comply.

When tint is outlawed... only outlaws will have tint...

Oh yeah, when the state lawmaker's pockets start getting empty, it's time to push the law to write more obscure tickets for mundane things that haven't been enforced in 60 years, but must happen to be in the law books.
I'm gonna issue you a $300 fine for sitting on a bench during dusk because of a 1918 law prohibiting loitering at dusk, wearing a red shirt and short pants... all because the law was just never removed.

I have not had junjdm's luck in Texas. No problem while in Dallas but have been stopped in Cockrell Hill and West Texas. Just given warnings. Grudgingly just had Sewell put front on. Luckily frame was still in trunk on this 05 LS.
