LS430 vs Avalon - Comprehensive Review

Also, I take my key out, so I don't want to break my routine...
I'd seen that somewhere, and maybe I have no comprehension, but it seemed to raise about as many questions as it attempted to answer. See comments in bold.
Seriously, I was just hoping that someone would chime in and say "I didn't know any of this crazy stuff so I've been leaving my key in my car for the past 3 years and it's worked just fine, like any other vehicle." Or, that everything had crapped out when I didn't drive the car for 2 weeks, or whatever...
I have the system switched off for the moment and I'm pretty happy with that.
I switched it off the other day when I was washing the car with the key in my pocket and the door lock solenoids were going crazy while I was spraying water over the door handles and sides of the car. LOL
--- the vehicle battery will be discharged if the vehicle is left for a long time. What is a long time? Significantly shorter time than for vehicles without Smartaccess?
-- If the key is left within the effective range of the smart key system outside of the vehicle [and] If these conditions continue for a long time, the battery in the key and vehicle will be discharged and from the sixth day, smart unlocking operations will become slow. And???...
-- To prevent the batteries from being discharged, the smart key
system is automatically deactivated in the following conditions:
If the key is left within the effective range of the smart key
system outside of the vehicle for more than 10 minutes So, the key could be stored somewhere in the garage if the "somewhere" is within the effective range, and the system will just deactivate? I take it that the system does NOT deactivate if the key is inside the vehicle as opposed to outside it...
INFORMATION
.... avoid storing smart keys near ..... cellular phone or cordless
phone recharger units, fluorescent desk lights Note that you should always keep such electrical appliances at least 1 m (3 ft.) away from the smart key. LOL My normal storage spot is under some flourescent under-cabinet lights and next to my phone recharger. I guess I need to build a Faraday cage in which to store my Smart key.

I guess they're saying that if you have a cell phone in your pocket than the pocket that you put your smart key in should be three ft. away.
There!!! That's really all I was looking for out of this thread -- an excuse to eat more!

That would be great.
While I just purchased a new 2013 Avalon, and for the most part I love the car, I miss the size of my 2011 Avalon, (Yes it is noticeably larger inside then the 2013 Avalon) and if I get another car, I'll likely bite the bullet and get the LS I to have always wanted, or will I?
Skip
Conclusion:
Would I pay $60K (out-the-door price for the original owner of my LS) for a NEW LS?
Absolutely not. Considering my finances and budget, the added features/performance are not worth the extra $20K compared to the Avalon.
Would I pay $22K for a used LS with 43K mi again?
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!! It is worth every penny.
Although I "downgraded" to a car that is 2 years older than my Avalon, I now drive a car that is safer, more reliable, better looking, and better performing.[/QUOTE]

Why is this thread even posted? You can't compare a $35K car (Avalon) with a $65K car (LS430). Why not compare Avalon to a Hondie? They are more in the same class of cars.
And yes, I misspelled "Hyundai" on purpose, it's short for "Honda Die". It my way of disrespecting the brand.

I like this post
the two cars are somewhat similar in comparison in different aspect obviously
1 a baller vs 2 average joe, and we know which is what.
the original poster did a good break down on each
