Question 282hp,290hp,332hp?

Does anybody knows why the LS in Europe have 282hp, and the LS in the U.S.A. have 290hp, and in Saudia have 332hp?

P.S.
in Israel the LS have 282hp, like in Europe.

I believe it has to do with the stricter emmissions standards in the U.S. In Israel it probably has to do with the fact that you are getting the Japanese spec models which are constrained to a 280ps(276hp) max due to the gentleman's agreement. I read a post a short while back from a guy who had the 332hp version LS430. He ran some 0-60 tests with his friend in the car with him and ran like a 5.9 or something. Imagine if he would have timed it alone.

Default 332hp 4.3l Aluminum V-8

Oh yeah, and by the way Toyota, square away the emmission's problem and bring that 332hp V-8 over here.

Default 4.3l V-8 = 400+hp

Oh yeah, Toyota said they could stroke the 4.3l V-8 to 400hp maybe more( and maybe without even increasing the displacement.

The LS430 in the middle east does not have 332hp we get the Japanese engines, we dont even have the GS400 or the V300 they are not sold localy. But we do have some crazy people here like the TT LS430, supercharged E55 AMGS, and a one of spercharged 355F1 that pulls 9's in the quarter mile:eek:

Here is the link https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...t=Saudi+Arabia

Could it be they sell both J-spec and unrestricted 332hp models? Or maybe he is located in a different part of the Middle East.
