Default Paint work

Need some info from the board,

I just recently moved to FT Polk, LA, for those wondering where in the world is that. Its west central of Louisiana, about 1 1/2 hr from Beaumont, TX, 3hrs from Houston and 2hrs from Shreveport, LA and 45min from Alexandria, LA. Now that is out of the way just maybe somebody knows where the h*** I've been stationed.
But I need to find a good body shop to do some paint work on my 2004 LS430 UL. I've decided to keep the car, I just love everything about it. Everytime I think of getting rid of it I ask myself why? But it does need some paint on it and quite a bit so I want to make sure its done right. Also the back sonars aren't working, I think who ever owned the car before me did a crappy job on the back bumper and they have over spray on them. Is there a fix to this? At any rate HELP anyone with info I appreciate it.

Mike

^^Take it to a bodyshop & have them wetsand the bumper, that should get rid of the overspray then have them compound it after

P.S. or just have a detail shop do a paint correction service on the car,try and find a shop that does lease returns they'll get you right.

Are they reasonable or will I have to give up my first born? I know you get what you pay for but just want a heads up. Houston is about 3 hours from me so if its worth the trip for their services then I'll just make the trip.

He is rather expensive, and does take a bit more time. Hey, if you want it done right then you gotta pay the cost and be willing to wait for an excellent end result. There are another couple shops that I know of here in Houston. Both are on the northside and will be cheaper, but you will scarifice some quality on body work. lmk

Hey, Mr. Pit - This is off-topic, but I was stationed at Ft. Polk in the 60s. Had some great times there in Leesville, Lake Charles, etc. I'll be passing thru the area in May in the LS. (I'm sure they won't allow me on base to see how much it's changed, but I'll give it a try anyway.)

You'll be so suprised to see how much the post is grown. It is still small in comparison to Ft Bragg, NC or Ft Hood but it has come a long way. You should be able to get on post. If you remember im me and I may be able to talk you through getting a pass for a day.
