Is the rear air purification system activated anytime the front climate control is on or does the rear apurification system only work when the rear system is on? I ask because I occasionally smoke a cigar while driving and try to keep the odor down as much as possible. Venting by window or sunroof helps only so much. Thank you.

 

just my opinion which probably doesn't count for much but i always thought that the rear air purification system thing was only on when air was passing through the rear system, if its off i would assume that no air is being filtered. i could be horribly wrong though, cuz you know what they say about making assumptions.

So the air purification system only works when the rear A/C is turned on and has nothing to do with the rear heat?

 

i hit my climate button this morning, and at the bottom it says rear ac/air purification system, and i guess its either on or off.

 

A/C is both cooling and heating

 

You can hear it on, if your not in a noisy place.

 

when you turn on rear climate control, you only get cold a/c. The rear vents (up in the air) only blows cold air, works hand-in-hand with cool-box. Therefore you can use cool-box in the summer, b/c you don't want cold air in the back during winter.
