Valentine 1 issues?
Does anyone else here have problems with v-1 in their ls-430?, I tested it out on different cars and it appears that the front wind shield has a coating that reflects light in a way that mimics laser speed detectors, I can't even use my v-1 in my LS because the laser warning goes off none stop, if i switch to a different car that false warning is almost none existent.
10 year old V1, no problems in my LS with replacement non-Lexus windshield. I have mine set to "A" mode for high sensitivity and get no really excessive false readings. Maybe once in 5 long drives on I-5 I'll get a laser warning. I'd call Valentine and ask them about this - I'm sure they'll offer advice.
Do you have Lexus original or branded glass?

I've got original glass with my V1, mounted it just to the left of the rearview mirror. I keep mine in the L mode and have had it upgraded twice by Valentine. The only false readings I get are when I'm behind some of the newer GM SUV's and they brake so the CMHSL is on. Guess whatever that bulb is causes my V1 to think its laser working.
I agree with wanderer99 that you ought to call them and chat. I've called them one other time and they were extremely helpful. When I first moved up to Northern MN my detector froze up in temps that we have here frequently that are in the 20 to 30 below range. It just gave me a repeated beep till it thawed out. At first I thought the LS430 had some issue in the electronics till I realized it was the V1. They helped me figure that out as it seemed like my brain was frozen as well!
Since then, I turn it off at night if I have to park outside of the heated garage at home overnight, like at the airport.

+1 exactly the same for me, no other issues.
Hmm thanks for the advice I will give them a call. I think my front glass is original? I'm not the original owner so I don't know if it was ever replaced. Basically the false warning goes of every few seconds to the point where it's so distracting and annoying you have to turn the sound off but then I still see the flashing and that over rides any radar.
Check your lower corners of the windshield glass for branding. If it has a Lexus logo it's the original OEM glass. If it's some other brand, it's replacement and non-lexus glass. I'm sure Valentine will want to know what type of glass it's probably best to write down the make\brand\model of the glass.
