Default Suspension Height on Ultra

The ultra has the option to shift the suspension to HIGH versus NORMAL. I know it raises the car up slightly but what is the benefit to this? Should the ride differ? To you increase the risk of damaging the suspension if you ride this way?

It will lower itself back if you drive more than 7mph(?), so you really can't drive on it (according to the manual).
The idea is to clear any gravels or for whatever purpose that you need the extra ground clearance.

I use it when I leave my work parking lot or other steep driveways since I have a front lip kit that is low.

I think it is supposed to help the ride on bumpy roads.

my high height stays when I drive. I did it once with 4 people in the car, it stayed at "high".
So it's not like LX470 high setting, which lower itself back once it speed up.

always heard it was for assisting to drive in deep snow,, if it raise the car a couple inches would help some depending on the snow depth,,

I have never had a problem with it lowering back down either. I don't use it much though.

It raises up for whenever you need extra ground clearance, snow, offroad, and for some of us, changing the oil.

The shocks firms up automatically, for a reason I don't understand.

Since Lexus let you do it, of course not.
