Default Radar detector/lazar cruise

Will laser cruise interfere with a radar detector, specifically Valentine brand?

Yes sir.

I got a Valentine one, and everytime I come across an Infiniti FX35 or FX45, it goes off.....I don't know if they got laser or radar cruise, but it is one of those distance control cruise control.

So yes, it does set it off.

It never affected my V1. However, other vehicles did affect my V1 and cause it to go off.

I bought a Passport 8500 X50 because I got the LS430 about a week ago. So far, neither the car nor that RD has affected each other. I assume the radar frequencies are far apart. They would have to be or the Lexus stuff would interfere with cop radar, and we know how far that would go in this country.

I thought the rest of you might like to know I have received an email from Valentine saying the lazar cruise will effect the performance of their radar detector.

Isn't that interesting? They must use a truly broadband microwave sensor, or maybe the sidelobes are whupping up on the Valentine.

Yes, I thought it was interesting and disappointing. The fellow said according to some customers, the problem mainly occurs when approaching a reflective object, such as a car ahead, exit ramp gruardrail, etc.

ah, sounds like doppler when bouncing off objects and coming back to the Valentine. I'll try to replicate that on the 8500.
