2001 LS430 Window Noise
Help - I have a window noise that is driving me crazy. It comes from the driver side front window and only happens when the window is rolled all the way up. It sounds like a cracking / popping when going over any bumps. If I lower the window the slightest bit, the noise is gone. But, that isn't a great solution at highway speeds because of some wind noise. Any help would be appreciated - it is driving me nuts.
Disclosure - the car has been in an accident before, so could it be frame related somehow or does it sound like something else?

Windex will not strip tint off a window. I have heard similar creeking when I drive out of a driveway (changes in levels of pavement). Not sure if it is the same noise but it is probably just the car twisting.
Boomer01, it is definitely happening on changes of pavement height, etc and does seem like it is the car twisting or something along those lines. Did you ever do anything about it or just leave it?
Salil022, did you do anything with the seals, or would you recommend doing anything? Any idea on the price for that type of work?

I have a similar situation on my GS. If its the same problem i'm having, its due to a improper window alignment. This became frustrating as i drive my GS on long trips often, not to mention it became very loud after getting used to the laminated windows on the LS.
I took off the door panel and tried to fix the situation many times, without any success.
I have to kinda hold the window and push it towards the rear of the car (while i'm in the drivers seat) while rolling it up, to ensure it closes properly... that took care of it... problem is i have to do this every time i roll up the window if i'm going on a highway.
I also followed this DIY from the GS forums and had GREAT success with window nosies at highway speeds, the car is much quieter now:

I ended up taking my car to the dealer to have them look at the window noise issue and they were able to fix it in under an hour. They performed a door frame adjustment and it is good as new.
