Default Scam?

I found one car, it is 2002 LS430, with 50k miles, for $6000. Can it be scam or what?

I'm gonna show you my emails with her.

I am emailing you regarding the 2002 Lexus LS430 that I have for sale on Craigslist..
The vehicle looks and works perfect. As you see it has a lot of options. No hidden problems and never involved in any kind of accidents..
Since the car was listed on eBay.com I prefer closing the transaction trough their system because we are both protected. If you don't know how does the eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection Program work please let me know so I can help you. I used it several times (as a seller but as well as a buyer) and everything was perfect.
The vehicle was inspected by eBay. As well, shipping & handling fees are included in the final price ($6000)..
If you are interested please let me know your shipping details so I can open a transaction case.
The car looks and works perfectly. I got it after my recent divorce and I want to sell it fast, that's all. However you will have 3 days to inspect it before you take a decision.

I will send the transaction details to eBay. They will contact you with a invoice regarding our transaction. Please note that you will have to send them only a down payment, money that will be kept by them until you receive the car. About shipping ..... I can tell you exactly when you will receive it after I get it shipped. I will do that the same day eBay confirms the down payment. As well I will forward you the shipping documents.

Please let me know when you receive the eBay email and when do you think you can transfer them the down payment.

Thanks again
Julia

Do you guys think it is scam or what? Will Ebay protection program really work in this case?

Definetly a scam...ask her for the eaby listing id then go on ebay and search for the car if it's on ebay then and only then pay for the car thru ebay, i prefer to only deal with people with high feedback and that use paypal so if she does'nt have that then i'd pass....but at the end of it all it's your money so you make the call...good luck.

P.S. I sold a motorcycle on ebay and my friend sold his car on ebay as well and nobody ever inspected either one of our items.

True that .. The second I read your post, I visited eBay to check. Lowest price you can find for an LS430 is 17K

Anything that sounds too good to be true is definately fake.

FIRE IN THE HOLE !

I suspect this is the sentence that says it all:

"Please note that you will have to send them only a down payment, money that will be kept by them until you receive the car."

You will never see that down payment or the car again.

Sure do! Just wire $3000 down payment to my account in Nigeria, and as soon as I get it the bridge is yours. I'll need your checking account number to set up your automatic monthly payments too!
