My 02 has 40k mi. and have had the same problem 3 times in the last 30 days. Upon the initial start in the morning I back the car into the alley. Upon putting it into drive virtually nothing happens. Within 30 seconds after giving it 25% throttle it kicks into drive. Any ideas on my problem?

 

Check transmission fluid level. If OK then off to the repair shop for you for transmission fix.

 

Sounds like an unusual problem. Might be a simple switch, or a more complicated issue. I'd recommend taking it to the dealer since your powertrain warranty is still valid.
