Question Suspension Problem

Had new tires put on my ultra today.....afterward I heard the compressor running, which I have never heard before.

My car is squatting to the right, and the right rear tire is very close to the wheel well. The front wheels and tires are sitting as if in the "high" position.

I do have the certified warranty, so I will head to the dealer asap.

Car still drives well. Any help/suggestions/knowledge?

Thanks

Sounds like someone knocked out your air suspension sensor. It may need to be adjusted.

Default That sounds like good news

Sounds like an easy fix...not a gremlin that has to be "denied," hunted....etc.

Like GrandLS said, should not be a big issue as it does sound like a sensor was loosened or ??. Normally, when you are inside the car, you would not hear the compressor going.

Default Interesting Twist

Dropped the LS430 at the dealer yesterday. They called me later to tell me that one of the new tires is not the same size as the rest. Said this could be causing the problem...sensor can't figure out how to make everything work. However, they wanted to keep it to test the sensors and air struts (they were only open till noon yesterday.

We shall see. New service writer is great. Prior one too, but prior never answered phone or returned calls

Default Problem resolved

Turns out that when I had new tires installed, the tire place installed one tire that was smaller than the others. This caused the height sensors on the right side of the car to get out of whack for trying to balance the car with one smaller front right tire.

So, the sensors were adjusted, the rest of the system was checked, and nothing else wrong. So, I pick it up Monday all for a whopping 160.00, as Certified program doesn't cover adjustments. Lexus CPO is somewhat lacking. Next go round, I will buy a non certified car, and then buy an extended warranty that is bumper to bumper.

Have you tried getting a refund from the tire place that mis-sized tire on the car?

Default I'll go down there as soonas I can

Tire guy is great. I don't even have to worry about him doing the right thing. The dealer charged me a half hour to drop he spare & put it on.....50.00 to change a tire that Lexus Roadside Assistance would do fro no cost at all.

Funny you reminded me. A couple of weeks ago, I woke up to a flat tire, and took out the wrench in 20F weather. TOTALLY forgot about roadside assistance.
