A while ago I posted a thread asking LS430 owners if anyone has replaced their interior lights with BLUE LIGHTS. I thought it would be a quick change and look pretty cool at night.
As I was looking at the new 2008 Accord Coupe today, I noticed that they now have an option to add blue interior lights to the car. Take a look.
So, I ask again... has anyone done this to their LS? If so, can you post some details and pics. I'm looking for the bulb types, locations, and tools or steps used to replace the stock bulbs.
On my Honda S2000, I had blue Cold Cathode Lights installed as footwell lights. They looked great, bright and better looking than LED as I tried those before I installed the CCL. The CCL are relatively cheap, get the same kind that goes into computer cases, as they run 12V, and cost only about $10 each for 12" version. I'll try to see if I can find some photos of it lighting up at night.
I'm not sure how they would look as I have had my amber interior lights set to the brightest setting by the dealer and I can hardly see them. I would assume that the blue lights would be even lighter. Maybe it's just on my car but that's what I think. Also you'd have to change the lights that accent the door handles too as they are amber as well.
Did you replace lower footwell lights in the door and the lights in the door handle? How about the footwell lights under the dash? And the lights in the roof?
I would guess there are about 13+ lights in the car...
I think the new Chevy Malibu has the same blue interior lighting scheme as the Honda Accords... Its the next cool thing the automakers are putting in cars. Just like HID headlights...
