Default Maint Reqd light

Anyone know how to switch the Maint Rqd light off in a 2006 LS430?

Instructions were a few threads down...

Here is what you do...

You turn off the trip meter, by hitting the TRIP/A/B button till it turns off.

Then with the car off, hold those two buttons, reset, and trip, and start the car while holding them for a few seconds. You will see a msg that says it has been reset.

Btw, its in the manual if you look closer.

Tried it also, didn't work for me.

Anyone else know a way to reset it besides taking it to the dealer?

for 2005 make sure trip a nor b does not show on display, see post #2, above.
1. turn off engine.
2. press and hold reset button.
3. turn ignition switch without starting the engine
4. release reset button after all of the system startup checks have finished.
5. turn off
6. start engine. maintenance light should be gone.
