Default DIY oil change

Has anyone here performed an oil change on the LS430 themselves and care to share how? TIA.

Are you for real? Changing oil on an LS430 yourself?? Go to dealer and do that, it only cost you $85. Meanwhile you can sample their choices of coffee and/or tea and take a bottle water with you after about 45 minutes.
The mechanic there would jack your car up, @ center behind the front axel there is a 14mm lug looking thing they call drain plug. He would put a oil collection pan/tray right below that drain plug and loosen the plug so that the old black looking dirty warm oil can escape. I hope he remembers to pick up that little ring shape thing call washer and if they were cheap, he would just flip it and reuse it when he screw back the plug after draining all the old oil.
Now right beside the left(driver side)front wheel they should be smart enough to see an piece of under tray that is secured by 4~5 10mm/phillip screws, and by loosen them and flip it open there is the black can shape thing call oil filter. Undo the thing using a wrench properly call oil filter wrench then put a new one on, Oh..if his shirt has some oil on it it's because he forgot to put the oil pan/tray under it. The guy is experienced enough to know just tighten it with hand tight THEN use the oil fiter wrench to tighten it 1/4 turn only. Now flip back the opening and secure it with the screws that were taken off.
He must remembers to add 5 cans of fresh new oil of the dealer's choice from the engine bay. There is a relese handle right under the left side of the steering wheel then go to the front of the car look below the big round "L" and a black handle should be there. Pull it and lift up to show the engine bay. There to your right is a black cap about 2.5" round called "OIL filler cap" some women call it 710 cap. Unscrew it then fill those 5 cans of oil in it. Remember to put back the 710 cap (OIL filler cap).
Close the hood and there goes your $85. I think you will get a free car wash, so go there when you car is filthy dirty, OK?

The car holds almost 6 quarts of oil. I took mine to the Toyota dealership. I live 100 miles from the dealer. It was under 30.00 for an oil change. They have the filter in stock for the LS 430. They don't stock the filter for the LS 460, but they can get one from Toyota... Their waiting room isn't as nice as my Lexus dealer, but you don't have to pay 85.00 either...

I take it to the dealer but i watch the guy use MOBIL-1 they offer some other kind of synthetic but i only use MOBIL-1 or Royal Purpple engine oil i do notice a difference in preformance. It's not detrimental but it makes me feel better when i drive the car i also use an engine treatment called Z-MAX it worked on my 07 Escalade EXT and when i used it in my SC Denali i noticed a big difference the only thing is u have to make sur eu rin it through with only a quarter tank of gas and i like to add STP fuel system cleaner as well to give it a little extra kick....
