Question FOB question for 2004 LS430

I came from a 2006 Z06 which has the keyless entry "FOB".

I am curious, is the door locking system of the 2004 LS430 keyless as well? For example, the Z06 would lock itself when I left the car, and when I went to open it, it scanned the FOB and released the lock.

Since my LS can start without the key, I wanted to double-check and see if that was the limit of its keyless 'actions' or if the keyless applied to the doors as well...

Thanks!

i know that if you have the fob and walk towards the car, it will unlock itself (when you try to open the door)

about locking the doors when you leave the car, i believe i read here that it doesn't do it? someone please confirm.

rominl's right, it's been covered here before and auto-locking is not a feature with the smart key access.

My question is this:

Let's say I drive 3 other people and myself out to lunch. When I put the vehicle in gear all doors lock. When I put it back in park, the people in the back have to flip the lock to get out of the car.

How do I fix that? Any ideas?

isn't this part of the CBEST settings that you can ask the dealership to change?

C-best setting.

You can also have your smart key unlock all the doors upon you touching the door handle, in stead of just the door your trying to open. Or you can have it unlock the side your coming from. Hold the lock button on the remote + trunk button for 5secs, and look at the instrumental cluster as it cycles through the different options.

Just got my manual, or shall i say encyclopedia, and have been doign some reading lately... found a few useful items.
