Default So I'm Thinking. . .

. . .of selling my car. I have a 2006 Black LS430, but I'm getting rid of it to my uncle, he's the one that wants it. So, I have a 3GS coming, I noticed that I wanted something with a little more feeling in the road. Although, I do love how smooth it is, I want something that's a little more performance oriented.

Now, my question, would someone be able to change my mind? The reason why I love the 3GS so much is because of the new-gen navi, the other thing is that it's more performance oriented. So, would anyone be able to change my mind or is that something people can agree with.

3GS, here I come!

Which one are you looking to get? I wouldnt get a 3GS 430 simply because its slower then the rest, and its about to be upgraded soon. A 350/450H looks like a good choice.

Sounds like you have made up your mind, but FWIW, I drove the 3GS430 and LS430 Sport back to back before buying an LS430. I could appreciate the "slightly" more sporty feel of the GS (it's still not remotely in the class of a sports car), but I liked the smoother and much more "substantial" feeling of the LS even more. I bought an '03 non-Sport LS and added 19" performance wheels and tires and lowered it a little bit on Tein CS coilovers. I usually keep the shock valving adjusted towards the softer side of the range. The result, in my view, is a more sporting feel than the GS430 yet with the enhanced quality and refined feel of the LS. I drove the new LS460 and all things considered, I prefer my LS setup over the 460 (but of course that's completely subjective). And all this is on an '03 LS430 -- the '06 (with similar mods) should be even better with its 6-speed transmission and slightly improved looks.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Okay, so now, I'm a little confused, I just test drove the LS460 again, and now I'm thinking about the GS460, I don't know which direction to turn to, can someone explain a few things out so that I can lay out the options more?

What are you asking, exactly? Are you wondering about waiting on a GS460 to be released?

Well, I guess I'm asking if a new LS or a new GS would be better?

I think you'll have to drive them both back-to-back a few times to make your decision. IMO, they feel pretty different, but then similar at the same time. I think the LS460 feels more akin to the GS430 than did the LS430, largely because the seats/seating position, view out the windows, console height, etc., are similar.
