Smile which one?

Tough one here, I guess it's what you would rather have. The LS430 is cheaper, I think it is and the BMW has crazy performance. The LS430 is reliable if well taking care of, the BMW has had some reliability issues. Both cars are great cars and both have pros and cons. The LS430 for example doesn't have the performance of the BMW. You should pick what your gut is telling you.Good luck! (GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME)

If you're looking for performance go with the 745, reliability and smoothness LS430. I've driven both on a test track and boy that 745 is a beast. The 430 also has power, but IMO you can really feel it.

Performance wise, I think they are the same, if not the LS430 even faster, but the 745 wins the handling department.

Interior = Lexus 1 BMW 0
Exterior = Very subjective

Consumer Reports is crystal clear on this--the LS 430 is the 'best luxury sedan in its class,' while the BMW 7-series 'fails as a luxury sedan.' Take your pick.

I think that's a bit harsh, if performance is your overriding concern, and you can accept iDrive, the Bangle-ized styling, and interior design, then go for it. But the LS is plush, beautifully appointed, rides well and performs well, has simple controls and an impressive array of features, top-of-the-line stats all around, and is highly reliable to boot.

Of course, riding in an LS quite often, what would you expect me to say?

That's a reason I didn't want a BMW. I don't really like the new desing of the 7 series. It's not what a BMW should look like. It needed to follow it's style before they changed it to a landshark. Oh well, you can thank the person who designed that blobish shark.

LS430 hands down.

Other than Consumer Report & jdpower, it even handily beats the BMW 745 on the 2 enthusiasts' car magazines comparison tests(C&D + R&T) which are usually heavily biased towards driver's car like the BMW.

Cool

Mine would be with the sleek 'L' symbol on the hood.
