A brand new 2005 LS430 is sitting in my driveway.
Crystal White Exterior/Cashmere Interior with the Modern Luxury Package and Smart Access.

I was not expecting to lease the vehicle so soon BUT.. I just happened to inquire to a dealer who needed an extra sale for November and they gave me, quite simply, an offer I could not refuse.

They DROVE the vehicle to my house (an hour's drive) did the presentation in my driveway and the paper work in my dining room table.

I leased for 36 months/12K miles per year $697 per month (plus tax) with $1650 total due at signing (including first payment).

I am in awe of the level of service and the ease of the transaction. I am also in awe of this vehicle. Smooth. powerful, elegant... my goodness is this a special car.

Looking forward to three years of carefree driving in PURE luxury!!!

And please allow me to give a quick thanks to all of the posters in this forum. You have all been very helpful in presenting "real world" experiences that helped me decide on a vehicle. I 've been lurking around for years with just an occasional post on this forum.

Now I can actually post as an actual owner..

COngrats!

Quick question.

What makes a potential buyer look into leasing a vehicle? With the monthly payment you posted, isnt that pretty much close to what you would be paying for a 04 model or even yet an 03 model?

In my opinion there is nothing like getting a brand new vehicle every two to three years. It is one of the few areas in my life where I allow my heart to contol my decisions. I could buy a used LS.... but NAH!

Congrats! That dealer should be lauded for finding creative ways of making end of month sales numbers! Excellent initiative on the part of the salesman!

gteach, congrats on your new car!!

Yes, Lexus, sales and service department is second to none.
When I first got my car, I had trouble programming the garage door opener.
The service manager at my local lexus DROVE TO MY HOUSE and program EVERYTHING for me!!!

Congrats!

I too was impressed with the treatment when we bought our pre-owned. In the past, when sitting in a dealers finance office, I feel like I'm being drained of dollars here and there. At Lexus, it was relaxing and simple. They just made their $$ wihout beating me up in the process.
