Default Fiber Optics and the LS430

I was curious to know if Lexus uses fiber optic interfaces for the Nav., climate control and audio systems. I know Jaguar and BMW both use fiber optics, as I'm sure other brands do also. I have read about the electronic nightmares, especially in BMW's since the latest 7 series was introduced and continue to this day with the 645ci. The LS430, even with all its electronic systems, seems to be free of these electronic gremlins. I don't know if the fiber option interfaces contribute to the electronic gremlins in these other cars, or its just bad computer programming.

Since the intergration of all these systems has to be extremely complex and other manufacturers have been less than successful providing problem-free cars, I am wondering how Lexus continues to add these integrated, sophisticated systems and maintain its incredible reliability. Any thoughts?

Mike
