Default 2- $100 Gas Cards from Lexus!!

I thought I may not have been as lucky as many of you other LS owners who had to have the new transmission & fuel pump installed... I know its not the lottery, but what a thrill to get "any" kind of gift, much less $200 in Gas cards.

The letter enclosed stated they wanted to apologize for any inconvenience, which tells me why I'm not surprised by the succes of Lexus in general...

Lexus replaces my transmission & fuel pump which causes my LS to shift smoother and get better gas mileage, while loaning me a brand new RX w/ Navigation for 2 days, and they send me a gift....

Life is good....

I received the gas cards last week and I only had to have the fuel pump replaced, that was a nice surprise.

Talk about timing, which they'd send a few my way.

Talking

I have an 04 LS. On the highway I get 29-30 mpg (have been on 5 different road trips, and it stays consistent). The mileage stayed the same even with the transmission changeout. Around town I get 19-21. Something does not sound right here; are you driving uphill everywhere?

Only about 25mpg at 75mph for me. My around town tanks are down in the 16-17mpg range.

I have about 11K miles on the car and the gas mileage for the entire time is 20.0mpg, with about 1/3 of the miles being rural interstate.

Your right foot must weigh more when in the LS, because it's too heavy!

Raja - how long did the gas cards take to arrive?

I had my transmission/fuel pump work done 8/18 and its now over 2 months later with no cards - I guess I missed out on this?

Hello Mandingo!
My transmission & fuel pump were replaced in the middle of September and Lexus had tried sending the cards around the middle of October, but were returned because a suite# wasn't on the address label. Lexus finally called me direct to get the suite# and I received the cards immediately after...

Contact Lexus Customer Service to inform them of the work you had done. I'm sure you are on the list, but somehow got overlooked...Goodluck- Raja

I had the work done about a month ago and got a handshake.

My mileage around the hills of Pittsburgh is about 16 MPG.
