Thanks again guys!!!

lkirchner, I bought the tips at www.ajusa.com. The tips have clamps at the end. You need to take the stock ones out and just put these on...should be very easy. One issue I had was that at least on my car the pipes didn't seem to come out straight so it took a little bit of time to make sure they line up correctly. The tips look as if they are made for the LS... a little pricey for the tips though.

I hate to be a PITA but a few more questions. What size did you buy, The 2 1/2 inch or the 4"? What Inlet size? and finally How do you remove the stock tips?

Thankls,

Lou K

The part # is 20155. Inlet is up to 2.5". Outlet is 4.25"x3.5". Length is 5".

I actually asked the dealer to remove the tips for me when I got my car so I'm not sure exactly how to take them out. You should be able to pull them out, I think.

I saw your other post where you said the ride is firm or harsh with 20 so I stayed away from them. I'm sure 20 will look a lot better. Initially I thought I would get 18 but you guys here convinced me to go with 19...It's been good so far.

The 19's look good enough IMO I wouldn't want to take away the creamy ride of the LS430 neither, that's what you want in a LS430.

I am looking at the same wheels now. I have '01 LS430. Don't know to go with 18s or 19s. Don't want to mess with the ride qualities too much. Did you have to mod anything to put the 19s on? I would appreciate if you can post a reply. BTW, what size tires and brand? Thanks. Great looking car!!!

I was very concerned with the ride quality too and I was thinking 18 but the guys here convinced me to go with 19. The ride itself is not bad at all. The tire noise is very noticable at first though but I get used to it a few days later. The tires are Yokohama Ecos DNA 245/40/19 and 275/35/19. They are only available in Japan and I bought wheels/tires as a package. They are supposed to be very good tires. I don't know if there are other tires that have less tire noise.

I didn't have to mod anything. I currently have Tein CS too and the ride is still surprisingly good.

Will I do it again? Oh...Yes...

BTW I see that you are in New York. If you're near by, you are more than welcome to have a ride in my car to see if 19 is for you.
