Thanks for the info and the offer. I think that I may go with the 18s though since the roads here are crap. Once I put new wheels on, I have to re-align, right? Did you have allingment done yet? I know place in Jersey those guys do just that. Very good! They can also allign according to what you tell them you want the handling to be.

I believe that new wheels don't require alignment although I know some people do. I had my car aligned because I lower my car, not because of new wheels.

I see. One thing I noticed though, on your pics the lip on the wheels does nto look that big. Is that the way you wanted it? Just curious. Thanks.

I was told that's the biggest lips I could get for the car without fender modification. The front is a little over 1 inch which matches the spec. The back is supposed to be 78mm which is around 3 inch, but I could only measure it a little over 2.5 inch . Maybe I don't know how to measure it. The offset is 40 in front and 42 in the back.

On the pictures from the web they look like there is a nice lip with the spokes kind of inside the lip.

Yes, those have bigger lips than mine. This link has all of the offsets/lip sizes they offer: http://www.amistad.ne.jp/top/r/pict/r_hyo.jpg.

congrats from another mass ls 430 owner. I am getting new rims too but not going over 18 inches because of the ride issues.

Thanks for sharing the pix pvo. After seeing your car and other clean 430, I'm falling in love. Plus, I need to graduate into the LS, which is more of a "professional age group" than the GS.......sigh, what to do.

Hey do those tips fit on a 2001 LS430? It looks like the exhaust openings in the bumper are bigger on your car than on my 2001. Did they enlarge the shape of the openings? I ordered some of the tips but just took another look at your car and noticed it. Tips look sweet!

digital_b, I was in the same boat. I was glad I went with 19 though. As many experts here told me before: LS is a big car and 18 is too small for the car. 20 will be better for the car but 19 is nice enough, look and ride comfort wise.

Marx, I thought about a body kit but for now I am just getting a small trunk lip spoiler. I ordered it. I will post pics when it's on the car.

jpcdmd, I don't think these tips fit 01. The opening on 04 is a lot bigger.

The rear lip spoiler looks very VIPish on your LS, and I like the way it sweeps across the trunk lid in a subtle, symmetric curve

Hey I'm actually thinking of planning a mini-meet in Mass. sometime next month (perhaps on the 2nd weekend of Nov.) Would you be available to come join us at the meet? It may be held at F-1 Boston in Braintree. It's a nice indoor place where people can do go-kart racing Formula-1 style, play some billiards, eat, drink, chill out, etc.
