Anyone have any success getting the new V600 to work with the LS 430. I can get the vehicle and phone to communicate by going through the setup procedure and then make and receive calls until I turn either the car or the phone off. After that, they will not connect to each other unless I delete the phone from the phone list and go through the whole set-up procedure again.

Any suggestions?

EXACTLY the same issue. 2004 LS430 and a Moto V600

They connect (pair) first time but "Unable to Connect" thereafter and certainly no automatic bonding.

Delete them and they re-pair as a workaround.

My Sony Errison phone has a 3 way setting for bluetooth. Off, On and Auto. It must be set to On to work with my LS.

Moto V600 has On and Off. Under settings for Bluetooth it has Automatic and Ask.

I've tried both to no avail.

Just wanted to weigh in with my experience. I recently purchased the Motorola v600 through A T & T and have had zero problems with connectivity with the vehicle and the phone. I've only added the phone once, and it has remained connected since I did it the first time. I own an 04 LX 470, in case you're wondering.

I call my phone "Motorola V600"

One the Car is shows -

A communications experienced person looking at my failing setup said that looks strange. His Sony repeated is phone name without the line of "f's" on my car

Does your do this or not.

Suggesting that the Bluetooth chip is throwing a bad ID record.

Has anyone heard when Cingular will offer the V600?

I was told by my local shop that there is a problem with some versions of this phone where it reports a bad ID (all "F"s). These phones should be exchanged for the newer fixed version, and then it should be able to re-connect without needing to be paired again.

Guys, why do you have to buy Motorola all the time!!???
they are terrible phones and have the most complaints for connectivities and etc. You need to buy Sony Ericsson or Nokia Phones and they will activate less than 10 secs and thats all there is to it. We discarded the motorola b/c it was worthless, flimsy, and terrible battery life. NOW, i will highly recommend you get a Bluetooth Sony Ericsson by ordering them directly from Sony Ericson.com and activate them using T-Mobile or AT &T which ever you like. I promise you all, they will work very well because I am a techno gadget guy and I have tested the bluetooth capabilities in the Ls430 as well as our family Acura TL with the new Bluetooth technology.

Heres the links to the other phones available, some with Bluetooth. You can order them through Sony or search through www.MYSIMON.Com and order one through a retailer. Then when you receive them, take it to T-Mobile or AT$T and they will give you a SIM card to activate the phone and you then buy the plan, and then you are done!!

My concern would be with the lack of the GSM800 band on the phone. While that may not be a problem in a large city or with T-Mobile, it could cause coverage problems out here in rural areas with AT&T or Cingular.

Any comment on this would be helpful.

I was recieving the "ffffffffffffff" from my Ls430 console.

I returned my V600 to ATT (after 5 weeks) and without question was given a new one.

it works like a charm.

Connects/disconnects, transfers phone entries.

Just picked up two Motorola V600's (Cingular) - one for me, one for the wife - and gave my Sony Ericsson T616 to my son. Both V600's hooked up immediately with the LS430 and importing both phonebooks into the system was a breeze. Each phone is designated by our given names, so there's no confusion when one or the other is driving the car. So far, the V600 has been very impressive - no dropped calls, crystal clear reception. The Sony worked well with the Bluetooth, but my first impression is that the V600 beats it by a fair margin, especially when it comes to ease of use, convenience and features, especially in non-Bluetooth environments.
