Default New LS owner with a question

Took delivery of my LS430 with Custom Luxury Package, Crystal White, Ecru last week. Here's a pic if anyone is interested:

I really wanted the laser cruise, so I was stuck with the CLP, and then stuck with the Ecru interior because grey wasn't offered.

So does anyone have the Ecru interior and can offer cleaning tip for both the leather and the plastic trim?

Thanks in advance and I hope that I can offer some help to my fellow clublexus LS owners in the future.

Regards,

Wayne

I have an '03 UltraLux with Ecru. One of the things my salesman told me was to never ever wear new clothes with dark ink (like new denim) without washing several times. And never allow dark clothes to get wet and then sit in the car. The ink will bleed into the leather. If it ever does it is imperitive that you clean the seats immediately and don't let the stains "set". My salesman told me of several incidents where customers didn't know this and they brought their car in with stains in the Ecru that couldn't be removed. Cost them thousands to get the seats recovered. Also, the Ultra and Custom luxury options include suede headliner and A,B, and C pillars. Just make sure you use the proper cleaner for suede. Taking care of the leather like you would any leather seats should keep things clean.

Try one part Woolite mixed with six parts water to clean the leather. Lexol to condition it.

Very true about the dye transfer from pants to ecru seats. I drove mine with wet jeans one time, and there is now a bit of blue coloring at the very bottom of the driver's side seat back. Pretty minor, though -- someone other than me probably wouldn't even notice it. I'll use a towel if I get caught in the rain again, though.
