Using a VXDIAG VCX Nano for Toyota, installed the techstream software (18.00.008) and when connected and a health check is performed, all modules show white with an * which indicates the ECU is not supported or not responding. I tried this out on both a 2003 LS430 and a 2004 ES330 and both show all modules white with an *

I have a support ticket opened with VXDIAG but would like to know of other folks results using the techstream 18.00.008 software with the VXDIAG VCX Nano for Toyota.
Try an earlier version of techstream. I think I am using 17 with no problem. Vin does not have to be put in and in setup I think I chose corporate t give all functions. Just reread and saw your interface. I am using the Mini VCI J2534 Cable for Toyota TIS Techstream which is much cheaper and works well. Pretty sure it is your interface is the problem but maybe not and just the software.
Tried with a VIN but same results... actually now getting a network error although network was enabled. Haven't heard back from VXDIAG yet. I ordered a Mini VCI cable off eBay and will see if that works any better.
This LS430 is very peculiar to what is attached to the OBDII port. Sometimes the VSC light will come on and have to go through the zero point calibration to correct. Also use offline mode as you don't have login for techstream servers anyway.
This gave me full access to Techstream. I turned off DRL, steering tilt upon ignition turnoff, how my doors unlock, diagnostics and I programmed a new key from Lexus. LAUNCH Creader Elite...
I did get a reply from VXDIAG support indicating it could be a driver or area selection. They indicated the area should be where the vehicle was manufactured. I reloaded the software on a win7 x86 system, and when connecting I selected Japan as the area but there were no LS430 models listed. I selected North America and was able to select the LS430 but still ended up with all the modules showing up in white with an * indicated ECU not supported or not communicating. Replied to VXDIAG support and got the following reply...
Dear Friend, If you have selected the correct vehicle origin but the software prompts that the model is not available, it means the software's built-in data package does not support this specific model. As this is an offline version of the software, the data packages for a small number of vehicle models may not be included. You may also consult a professional vehicle technician to see if you can obtain a Toyota online diagnostic account to operate with the online version of the software.
Best regards, Shiny
What area should be selected when connecting to the vehicle? Seems odd!
