I have a 2004 LS430 with 63,000 miles on it. Within the last few weeks after a rain storm I noticed the wet floor , floor mat soaked and the carpeting under as well. I looked all over and the best I could understand that it possibly was coming from under the hood. The other day upon starting up the car the passenger side window did not work until I started driving the car ? Also for no reason the the gas tank lid opened ? Does anyone know what may be going on. As always Thank You for all your help.

As far as the wet floor, check your drains for the sun roof. Especially if the floor gets wet only when it rains.
I had no idea the sunroof could leak like that . The sides seem tight and secure. How does the water just settle on the drivers side floor? Are you guys sure it's the sunroof. I watched the video you sent me and don't know how to buy the extended wire shown in the video and don't know what it's called. Should I just plug up the front two drain holes ? This whole thing seems very strange to me.
Yes - there are drains on the sunroof - you can follow some YouTube videos that tell you how to check them and clean them.
Also check your door seal at the top and along the edge to make sure its not torn.

Do not plug up the two front drain holes. They are there for a reason. In my other car I have used weedwacker line to clear sunroof drains - insert, "floss" back and forth and check for drainage.
I just received the tool shown in the video which was sent to me and I am going to use it as shown. The video showed the tool only penetrated a little over a foot ,should it have gone further in ? Also he only did the right side , should he not have done the left side as well. In any event I'm going to try my best on this as soon as it stops raining
here in Florida. As always thank you guys very much for all your help.
Well found a hot sunny day with finally no rain. Had the tool you sent me on Amazon $16.00 delivered. Poured water on top railing and and saw water dripping under the car from from two sides. some water stayed polled up on the drivers side......... No matter how hard I tried I could not see the holes on either side as shown in the video you sent me so I could not use the tool I bought. The water seemed to just flow over the front of the top of the opened sunroof although I did hear sounds like it was going down a drain hole ?
I did Look very carefully for the front drain holes I even used a step ladder in order to see even closer but no front holes left or right front. The LS 430 must be very different than the
cars used in that video. When I first went to the car I felt the drivers side floor and it was damp/wet not soaked. Any ideas. This is freaking me out. Thanks again for all your help.
Photos below were taken when I have cleaned the drain hoses of my Celsior UCF21. LS430s are just the same. As you see, this much of water is coming out from the lower end of the drain tube. I took this photo after cleaning the drain hose using a soap water and an air compressor. While doing this, a dark clogging was coming out next to next. Initially nothing was coming out though. I used had a badly wet floor but after the cleaning, the problem was gone.
There are 4 drains and rear sides 2 are not easy to access. I used a bore camera to find out the drain hole and used a copper pipe to access it.
After the cleaning.
石鹸水 = Soap water, 銅パイプ = Copper pipe
One of drain holes seen by a bore camera. I inserted a copper pipe which has a diameter slightly narrower than the drain hole.
From GOGGLE AI: The LS430 has four sunroof drains, with one in each corner of the sunroof assembly. The two front drains run down the A-pillar, which is the pillar by the windshield, while the two rear drains are located deeper within the roof structure. You can access the front drain holes at the corners of the sunroof frame when the sunroof is open, but the rear ones are more recessed and difficult to see.
I will check mine and see if I can take a picture. The good hint is "The two front drains run down the A-Pillar" -
This YT guy is focused on the rear ones and actually took the headliner out - wow -
I know you guys told me many times that the drain holes are at the two front corners of the sun roof but even on a step ladder I could not see it or feel it so I thought something different had to be done. I called my service rep. at Lexus of Palm Beach Who had a mechanic call me and told me that there are drain holes at the very corners of the rim of the sun roof BUT you can't see them. Use your tool you bought on Amazon an push into the side corner of the sunroof until you feel the brush end is going in , do that several times and rotate the brush and pull it out. The dirt that came out was unbelievable. I then poured water in the front right corner and it went right down. I hope that's the end of it.
