How do I remove the center console ASHTRAY assembly?
The center console ashtray door on my sons 2006 LS430 is stuck shut. I bought a cupholder that replaces said ashtray and it's door.
I will be away from my tools and shop, doing this job. HOW do I remove the ASH TRAY/DOOR ASSEMBLY? What tools shall I bring ?

It just pops up. Use strong plastic pry tool or screwdriver taped. First pop out front assembly where seat ac/heat is then I think I had to pop up chrome around gearshift and then pop up center console to access the ashtray.

Yes - Alextv has it right - plastic pry tools - just use caution - the clips can break - mine always seems to want to catch on the left lower side.
