I have gone through a bunch of threads. And the process seems simple. But i cannot get my VSC light to reset using the paperclip trick. Putting it i the 3rd hole on the top. 5th on the bottom on the OBD2. And when i turn on the ignition only the ABS flashes.
no more check engine light. That issue was fixed. The VCS came on right after my mechanic had his OBD2 reader on.
i saw on Reddit somebody had the same issue a while back but did not get an answer on the fix.
The OBD2 reader is what caused the problem as this car is very peculiar to what is plugged in. Using techstream is best way to fix problem but paper clip should work.

I thought the paper clip would work but it does not for me, only the ABS light flashes. I cannot get the VSC to reset. Its such a simple task, not sure why it doesn't work for me
Most OBD2 readers cause this in this car for some reason. Using the techstream with interface for computer works. Even in techstream if you don't do the test after the reset it won't work.

I am going to hope my mechanic has techstream cause I do not. Not sure why the reset does not work. I follow the simple instructions exactly as they are. But the reset does not happen
You may want to try disconnecting
the clamp on the battery’s negative post.
After 15 minutes, reconnect the clamp.
This extinguishes the light on my 2005 LS430.
I think this resets the computer.
However, in my experience,
if the original problem still exists,
the light will reappear
(in maby 75 miles or so)
because the computer will again sense
the active fault in the system
