Thanks...Do you happen to know how many JDM depots there are through the US? I called one and the rep was kind of rude when I asked if he ever gets the A650E 5 speed in..Many lexus models used this trans but I'd prefer to stick with either the 01-.03 LS430 or possibly the SC430 from 02-05 .I wasn't aware there are other JDM depots and whether they all carry transmissions....I did read one post of an owner that received a JDM A650E transmission that didn't work in his car, but I don't know all the details. To me, it's the only option to save my trusty 2001 LS430 with 170,000 miles. Replacing the car is stupid as anything out there is $25,000+ and not even a Lexus. Thanks again.

The one I got mine from was called JDM Engine Pro out of the L.A. area. There’s one down here San Diego where I lived called JDM Westside. There’s another one on the East Coast names DMV JDM Depot.

I would do a simple google search and see what you find in terms of JDM shops you can contact. You know that they are low mileage trans from working cars because most all offer the 3 months or 90 day warranty. Never buy one without that warranty.

Found one at JDM Florida with pics for $900 plus shipping which was unknown. Claims between 45-65K miles. Pics make it look like it was with the Titanic...Horrible. Your pics were like a brand new trans. I'll keep looking.

Pics definitely matter. That’s why I asked for them before purchasing mine. Because sometimes these shops will use photos of other shops of the same transmission which might look great, while they sell you one that looks like it’s been beaten to hell. Good luck on your search and let us know if you find one in good shape.👌👍
