Default Extended studs and spacers

Im trying to put these wheels on my LS430. They don’t clear the front calipers, so I was gonna buy some spacers. I’ve seen people do 15mm in the front and 25mm in the back. I was planning on doing this but someone informed me I would need longer studs to accommodate the spacers. Based on my research the stock stud has a thread length of 40mm. So I was think of buying 60mm studs for the fronts and 70mm studs for the rears. Does this sound doable? I’m not very knowledgeable in the realm of fitment/wheels so any input/ideas would be very helpful. Thanks. (These are rims off a sc300, 16x7)

You don't need to have longer wheel studs, you could also use spacers that come with their own bolts (see h&R 'drm' type spacers as an example). If the oem wheels have the little cavities between the holes for the studs to poke through that would be an option..

If you do want to add longer studs (like with the h&R 'drs' type spacers) then the new studs should be longer by how wide the spacer is e.g for a 20mm spacer the lug should be 20mm longer than oem

The issue with 15mm is that certain wheels don't have the cavities around each lug hole to accommodate the stock bolts as the threads stick out more than 15mm so they extend past the spacers. Factory 17s have cavities in the wheels to accommodate the factory bolts, but depending on the wheel design some might not. I think I ended up running 25s on the fronts cuz the aftermarket wheels I have don't have the cavities and the hub area is all flat. And you need at minimum 25mm to clear the factory bolts.

Also will 15mm buy you enough clearance for the calipers? So yea also depends on wheel design, you might need more spacing
