Otherwise it's just guesswork as you've found out.
okay Ill try and find it online and see if it’s gonna have anything else

Valve cover gasket won't fix it. Large ecu in engine bay. Doesn't make sense to keep shot gunning parts at it though. The problem is going to be solenoid or wiring related.

I didn’t think it would but basically everything has been changed at this point so I’m looking for something I haven’t heard of at this point. I’ve replaced the cam sensor on the passenger side that’s on top of the head, the vvt solenoid, the engine temp sensor. I’m really not sure where else to go both vvt sensor have power and are working I know because I did an active test on my scan tool. I’m only shooting in the dark because there’s no where else to go

The wire was broke when you got the car? No telling what someone did with that wire before hand. They could have fried the ECU, put voltage the wrong way, etc. I would check the wires for the vvti solenoid coming out of the ecu to make sure values are correct.

I replaced the original pig till with a new one and both are reading correct voltage and both vvt sol turn on and are functioning, the ecu is new as well

Does this model have a filter for the VVTI? My 98’ GS300 did and it was full of junk.
