Default Brake noise

Not sure how to describe this noise but it happens right after the vehicle stops and if you really want to hear it you just slowly release pressure on the brake pedal and as the car goes forward very slow and while still putting pressure on the brake pedal you will hear a loud noise. Like if I sound a urrrrnnn sound with my voice. Maybe the brake pad on the rotors. Lexus/toyota Indy shop mechanic said it’s a normal sound that happens. I beg to differ.

Someone removed your factory anti-squeal shims and/or did not install and grease them correctly and/or installed poor quality brake pads. It's not normal per se, but very common to have brake groan and chatter at very low speed if your rotors and pads are wet and/or freshly cleaned with brake cleaner.

Watch these 3 quick Toyota videos to see how to install brake pads, shims, and grease properly to minimize brake squeal/groan/chatter:

Original authentic Lexus/Toyota brake pads and rotors do not require bed-in (just gentle driving for first 1000 miles, no hard sudden stops and holding heated brake pads on one spot on rotor at full stop), but if you use aftermarket parts, different story. See following links:

Thank you. I bought the car in July 2023 and it didn’t make the sound and only replaced rear pads and haven’t touched the front brakes at all. So this noise has occurred over the past few months. I hope it goes away when I replace the pads and rotors.
