Default Need help - dash and gauge cluster switching languages

My 2005 Lexus ls430 is having some type of electrical issues or issues with the gauge cluster. Every once in a while, the speedometer and tacometer go dead, but the rest of it switches to Japanese and says “celsior” when the car starts. The car thinks it’s in Japan for some reason and starts beeping when I back up, and everything reads Japanese. This lasts for a couple minutes to an hour then it will change back all of a sudden when I restart the car a couple times. I don’t mind the fact that it switches the language sometimes, but the fact that the speedometer and tacometer go dead is annoying. If anybody could help I would appreciate it.

It reminds me of the voltage regulator for the gauge processor is not functioning or dead. An insufficient voltage is forcing the ROM to change the language mode. Unfortunately it's beyond average DIYers to fix. Ask a professional to fix or simply replace the cluster unit finding a good used one.

One of simple methods to fix is to replace all electrolytic capacitors and the regulator chip. But I can't guarantee that this method is fully OK to fix.
