Question Electrical gremlin or...?

2004 LS430 UL all original, garage kept, ~53,000 mi. yesterday the volume of the ML stereo first cut out for about a half second, then a few minutes later, completely cut out while listening to Bluetooth'd FM transmitted podcast. Changed input to CD, and although the screen shows the CD number and counting up as though it is playing, there is no sound. Interestingly, the screen does NOT show the volume setting number, while pressing on the steering wheel column volume adjustment ***** nor the main power/volume ****, where it typically would at the top portion of the screen. The power/volume **** when pushed still displays "AUDIO ON" and "AUDIO OFF" but again, no sound when selecting AM, FM, nor CD (I did not try TAPE).

Where should I continue troubleshooting? TIA, Louise

Sounds like the ML amp has died.
There are quite a few on here who have sent theirs out to be repaired.

I have a 2001 LS 430 UL and have had to replace the Mark Levinson Amp Tice in the last 4 yrs. It seems that by being located in the trunk it pick s up moisture and goes bad. It is out again so I intend to research other options
