Default Air Strut part numbers for front and rear

Hey guys, I recently purchased what were described as front air struts from two different sellers. The first gave me part number 48010-50120
and the second gave me part number 48010-50130, which I think is the rear.
Its odd when I check with sites the information seems to contradict itself. I know one set is from Dubai. But one is longer than the other.

The part numbers for my 2004 are
48010-50140 (Front, Left & Right)
48080-50140 Rear Right
48090-50140 Rear Left

The rear struts are longer than the front.
I believe that the second half of each number relates to the year, so
2001 = 50110
2002 = 50120
.
.
.
2006 = 50160

So, in your case they should both be Front air-struts, one from 2002 and one from 2003 if the numbers are correct.
The part numbers should be on each strut so check them when they arrive.
Don't forget that when not under pressure they can be different lengths.

I do have air struts but I have never removed or replaced them, and I also live in the UK so there may be differences there.
Why not look up the part numbers for your vehicle yourself?

Thanks. Yup 50120 is front 01-03
Later on they are KYB with silver sticker thats on the bottom. I did search but couldnt find anything until I called dealer. I generally dont ask questions here unless Im stumped.

Also I was just told that you can use the shorter air strut from a 2001-2003 and the automatic ride height sensors will compensate for the shorter 01-03 air strut, hummm.

I had one air strut in the front and one in the rear fail, ended up ditching the air and replacing with OEM coils/struts back in 2018. Cost me around $3k for all the parts mail order with CL discount, plus about $1k labor at the dealer. IIRC, each air strut was around $2k list or $1.2k online at the time, so about the same price wise but less problematic in the future since the car will always be level (cuz the height sensors failed long ago)

I have read many times that OEM parts are very expensive and very difficult/near impossible to find. I love my 03 UL (170K miles) and so no issue with the air suspension. However, I am planning to see what if I do need to replace the struct, where can I find parts. I know many of you mentioned about getting part from Japan. Where? Any idea?
