Question: How to remove chrome door trim under the window
Hello friends,
my new LS430 (I got a new one ) needs a little piece repainted and they need to do a piece of the door as well.
For that I need to remove the chrome doortrim which is on the down side of the window:
I dont want to break it because many times I decide to test some things myself, stuff breaks
Hi - did you figure out how to remove these door belts? (chrome window trim) I saw in one Lexus YT video it slides and then you can pull it out but it appeared to be an IS model - The YT poster recommended that the window has to be down.
Thanks for posting

those are called "belt molding" as far as i know , they just snap in. but it is very difficult to remove them without bending them.
LH DS part number is 75720-50010

Thx - Yes I found that out today - tried working on back right passenger window - yup - its gonna be difficult. Even if you start prying with plastic tool it will slightly dent the finish.
I removed the door handles today in preperation for total repaint -
I will research the parts - thx for the update

I found out how to remove them. They need to be pulled up just like the way the window is going up. With pulling up you need to divide the push with 2 hands pulling so you won't bend the strip.

Thx for the reply - my body guy figured it out -
