So I have a 2008 LS but am looking at a 2002 on FB Marketplace. I'm looking at the pictures of the dash and I have no idea what it is other than a car version of measles. Thanks for any sage advice.

Yes that does happen to some dashboards. Based on what I read, it happens when you clean your dashboard with some sort of harsh product along with beating sunlight - it creates bubbling. Apart from replacing the dashboard, there’s not much you can do.
I'm used to the dash issue for because my 2008 LS460 had it and I was lucky enough to get it fixed under the warranty. I had no idea the issue was also affecting the LS430. Thanks.
Speaking of melted dashes does anyone use a dash mat? I've been thinking of getting one to protect it but not sure what colour will match my Ecru, tan dash
