Hi everyone, I'm new here and just purchased a beautiful 1995 LS 400. As far as the car goes everything is mechanically sound. But I'm having a few issues with the cluster. The backlighting for the speedo, tach, temp and fuel gauge all seem to be out. I've done my research and the general consensus is that the culprit is bad capacitors, but I'm lost as to which capacitors to change as nobody else seems to have this issue on the 1995 model. Another issue I'm having is that the odometer is completely dead. it's a digital odometer so I'm thinking it could be burnt out. Any help is appreciated as it sucks not being able to see what speed I'm going.

The best way is to use an ESR meter and find out deteriorated electrolytic capacitors. It's easy to confirm the deterioration without removing them from the board.
Usually the highest possibility is the one with a red * as you can see the heat shrink tube is badly shrunk. Next come those 2 with blue #.
