Default Brake Pads

I just had the brake pads on my LS 430 replaced at 35000 miles. I am very easy on the brakes and cannot remember ever having replaced them before about 70000 miles. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I'd almost give my right arm to get 35K out of pads...on ANY car.

I figure I'm about a 8-11 or 12K miles on break pads based on how I drive! Anywho, break pads are cheap.....its the rotors!

177,000 miles on my Infiniti's original pads before I traded it in.
20,000 on my current LS400 pads, and have not made a dent in them. MB brakes are terrible for brake dust, I am waiting for them to wear so I can replace them with some nice pads that don't dust so much, it has 85,000 on its pads

Don't even THINK about using ANYTHING BUT genuine OEM pads on a Mercedes. You'll be buying rotors up the wazzoo. You'll be sorry.

Oh, and worse than non-OEM brake pads is DUST COVERS. NEVER, EVER EVER use those. I learned the hard way. Causes your entire braking system to heat up and get clogged with dust. Pad life gets cut in half, too.
